The vivid hues have haunted my dreams, infused with the spirit of Santa Fe. Each color block and brushstroke found its natural place on the canvas through intuition rather than planning. I worked on many pieces in this collection concurrently - it's my practice to have multiple paintings in progress at once. When you visit my studio while developing a collection you will find multiple easels in constant use, with additional canvases spread across the floor. The orientation of the works shift throughout the process. This is how I typically work - allowing each painting to evolve organically until it tells me it's complete, its final orientation emerging through the creative journey.
